Emo/Scene Hair Cut For Fancy Dress?!?
we're having a dress up party for my friends bday,the theme is modern stereotypes,we pulled astereotype each out of the hat and i got emo/scene.I have my outfit ready but everyone is making a great effort for this party and considering hair is such a big part of the emo/scene trend im going to cut my hair+get it styled.There's the problem..what do i get done?!I've tried searching pictures but 99.9%of the time the girls are posing and have the camera at a weird angle so u cant even get a good look at the hair!Im not willing to dye my hair(im not that dedicated to the cause!) My hair is a 'strawberry blonde' colour.Its just reaches my shoulders,i have s light side fringe already but it doesnt look emo/scene at all.I have an oval face blue green eyes smallish forhead and mouth and long nose..any ideas?could you please add description of what i should be telling the hairdresser to do? Can you all please just answer nicely and not be all 'poooser' etc?i dont want to be emo!its fancy dress!
I think you could probably go a couple directions on this, since emo and scene are a bit different...well, I've heard this, but it may not be true, I think all those stereotypes get a bit mixed together...but anyway, I think you could probably lean in the direction of either a little more emo OR a little more scene, depending on the rest of your costume. Here's what I think would be good for each, although again, who am I to instruct you on this? 
SCENE: (this would go better with clothes like bright skinny jeans or mini skirts, lots of loud patterns, colors, jewelry and layers) For your hair, ask your hair dresser to leave a layer at the longest length you have. Then, start the next layer much higher...maybe chin length or just below your ears. Ask for layers on top of this, and make sure to ask for the layers to be very very choppy and spikey, like a razor cut. If possible, cut or part your fringe/bangs extremely to the side and maybe even shape them a little bit more. Also, scene hair is very very colorful and since you don't want to dye you hair I suggest going to the store (I'm not sure which stores you have near you, but a teen accessory store like claire's or something would have them) and buy those clip in hair color extention things. Clip them into the longest layer or whichever layer they match with. Be sure to tease and spike up your short layers. She added in extreme side bangs (covering her eye) and lots of short layers on top.
