Then adjust slightly larger diamond in a smaller frame?
A jeweler may be able to better answer this question, but the situation is this: My fiance bought platinum new setting for me as a gift. The plan is to take my diamond from my current setup, which is a 1ct marquise to 10mm and put in the new setting. The paper works for fixing my fiance bought platinum indicates that the spreading pin is 7mm wide. I LOVE the creation and want to know before you go out and do the leg work, so the teeth can be distributed safely to meet the diamond 10mm Marquise? I mean how can it be transmitted if any? Your help is appreciated
Looks like this will not be good, but if If all they have to do is put a new face. If you have ever been to a place that sells settings, you may have noticed that some of them have no teeth. They do this because many parameters that go well in various shapes and sizes of diamonds, and they placed on the head right when they know that diamonds come with it. Good luck!
