What is the best setting for an engagement ring?
I'll have a "princess" cut diamond. Should I get mount Platinum or White Gold setting? Do some come with settings of diamonds on the side?
I think a good setting is one cathedral setting, where the metal accumulates up the needle with your teeth and diamonds are not as vulnerable and exposed to bodily harm. I was happy with a white gold frame, rather than my boyfriend to spend extra money on platinum. But after only 3 months wear white gold showing some wear on the back / palm side of the ring. So if you can afford to fork the extra cash for platinum, I think it might be worthwhile. Some parameters are supplied with diamonds on the side. I like that. I would say that the better deal with the diamonds do not outweigh the center stone, however, because if you get a really nice diamond as center stone that should be the function. And most of the presets come with diamonds that are not as good as what you probably want to get as center stone – so make the center stone main show. And straight 3 stone rings are very popular today, I encourage anyone to stay away from them. They are Traditionally known as anniversary bands with a stone past, present and future. It's much too inclined to use them as an engagement ring. Stay away from mall stores. They have a huge markup, and then make you feel good when lower prices for you.
